
The product of an illicit affair between Nathan Steel and Sally Jesen who he married to give the boy a name, which made Nathan a bigamist already having a wife with and child (Dixon Steel). They never met. Nathan and his wife Alice died shortly before Greyson's birth.
Sally worked her way through life, giving Greyson what she could. She demanded he get a proper education, which saw him into Northwestern University's medical school on scholarship where he excelled.
After his residency, he received his medical license and was certified as a surgeon, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital until 1914. He went into the U.S.Army Medical Corps until 1918 when he returned to the States and took up his field in New York City at Hospital for Special Surgery.
By 1920 he had met several influential individuals in all walks of life, and, in 1923 he moved into privet practice in Miami Florida where several situations became available to him with all types of clientele, and as the Ship's Doctor aboard The SS Chanteuse.
